I am a researcher who's main research interests over the last 10 years or so have been in finding ways to describe and present collections of web-based content in a way that is meaningful and goes beyond simple search and retrieval of single items according to a metadata search. I have been involved in several projects involving web-based cultural heritage content. One project created stories from interviews and artefacts of the Bletchley park museum, another re-interpreted artwork from the Bridgeman art library and used it support students in learning about suffragettes and about sustainability. Currently, I am working with two cultural heritage institutions in Ireland finding ways to support the curatorial process and to assist in the generation of online curatorial narratives for improved online user-experiences.
