A skilled leader and manager with almost 20 years' experience working in digital media in the cultural and education sectors in the UK, US and internationally.

Currently, Director of Digital at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum where I am leading an ambitious digital program to reimagine and build a forward-thinking digital presence, which will have an essential role in implementing the Gardner's overall strategic plan.

Previously an independent consultant working with cultural organisations to transform the way they use digital technologies to effect change. Experience of working in both public and private sectors, with a strong track record in delivering effective digital strategies; digital and change management leadership; managing complex stakeholder relationships and high-profile projects; building digital capacity; managing multi-skilled teams and growing new and existing revenue streams. Clients include: English Heritage, J. Paul Getty Trust, Canadian History Museum, British Council, National Museum Wales, National Museums Scotland, Arts Marketing Association, LAMDA, Pallant House Gallery, Culture24.

I speak regularly on digital strategy and digital transformation and lead professional development workshops focussing on digital strategy, digital leadership and digital skills development for cultural and heritage organisations.

I was the former Head of Digital at Imperial War Museums responsible for the strategic development of digital media and the management and delivery of all public facing digital outputs including online, mobile, in-gallery digital experiences, eCommerce platforms and social media.

I am Vice-President of the Museum Computer Network (MCN).

Before joining IWM, I was Project Director of the National Museums Online Learning Project, based at the Victoria &Albert Museum, responsible for coordinating and managing the needs of 9 national museums and galleries to create an ambitious programme of e-Learning resources and a cross-collection search linking the 9 museums together for the first time.
