Brooklyn Historical Society/Pratt Institute
Caridad is a second year student at Pratt’s SILS program and project CHART recipient. In a previous life, she was a graphic designer for a small print publishing company in California. Before obtaining a BFA in photography from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, she attended UC Santa Cruz. In two years, she encountered only one one banana slug.
Although preferring a more humorous approach, Caridad is passionate and dedicated to archival endeavors. Photography for her has been a unique way of inspiring wonder, curiosity and context about the world and it’s mysteries. She has made it her mission to do the same for others.
