Laura Carletti is Research Fellow in Horizon Digital Economy Research Institute, University of Nottingham, and at the College of Humanities, University of Exeter.
With a background in Arts and Humanities, and a PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning, her doctoral work investigated digital engagement mechanisms, socio-technological ecosystems, and knowledge construction in web-based grassroots communities.
Her research interests are (but not limited to): crowdsourcing in digital humanities; technology-supported engagement design; synergies between amateur and professional knowledge; technology-enhanced informal learning. Among others, she has offered papers at Cognition and Exploratory Learning in a Digital Age 2010; Digital Engagement 2011 (Winner of best student paper competition); Digital Resources in Humanities and Art 2011; Web Based Communities and Social Media 2011; Digital Futures 2012.
