Lindsay Martin, Principal Consultant in our New York office, is a skilled arts administrator with over ten years experience in the field. She is a strategic thinker who is committed to working with clients to develop creative effective strategies for their institutions. Lindsay has participated in a wide range of projects that have provided her with a diverse knowledge of the visual arts, museum management, and organizational development. Lindsay specializes in collections and facilities planning as well as cultural institutions in university settings and civic cultural plans.
Lindsay�s works with cultural organizations to develop responsive space and facilities strategies that allow them to achieve institutional goals and priorities while also serving day to day operational needs. Her facility plans include the Miami Museum of Science; Longwood Gardens (Kennet, Square, PA); Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Harvard University (Cambridge, MA); Princeton University Art Museum (Princeton, NJ), the 24/25 at Museum Plaza (Louisville, KY), Kohler Arts Center (Sheboygan, WI), Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI), and World Trade Center Memorial Museum (New York, NY). She has also completed civic cultural planning efforts in Columbia, MD; Harvard University�s Allston Campus (Boston, MA); Albany, NY; Haverstraw, NY; and Trenton, NJ.
Prior to joining Lord Cultural Resources, Lindsay served as the assistant to the Associate to the Executive Director for Strategic Projects and Arts Education at the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at the University of California, Davis. While at Mondavi Center, Lindsay worked in arts education, administration, operations, volunteer coordination, and event production & management. She has also interned for the National Endowment for the Arts, participated in a conservation assessment of the Merchant�s House Museum in conjunction with New York University�s Institute of Fine Arts, and held a supervisory position in the Metropolitan Museum of Art�s Retail Services Division. Lindsay�s undergraduate work was in Art History and Political Science-Public Service at UC Davis and her graduate work was in Museum Studies at New York University.
